BoCa Spiced Brownies

BoCa Spiced Brownies

½ cup butter
¾ cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup all-purpose flour
cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
¼ teaspoon sea salt
¼ teaspoon baking powder
½ cup dark chocolate chips
¼ chopped almonds
2 ½ teaspoons BoCa Flavor’s Taíno Spice (or more if preferred)


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and lightly flour an 8-inch square pan.
  2. In a large stainless steel mixing bowl, toss together the cocoa, flour, salt, baking powder and Taíno Spice. Set aside.
  3. In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Do not let boil. Remove from heat and let cool for 5-10 minutes, then whisk in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla into the saucepan.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients and mix with a whisk or electric mixer until smooth. Spread batter into prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Do not overcook.
  6. Remove from oven and let rest for at least 5 minutes before you serve and enjoy.
