BoCa Spiced Brownies

Ingredients:
½ cup butter
¾ cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup all-purpose flour
⅓ cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
¼ teaspoon sea salt
¼ teaspoon baking powder
½ cup dark chocolate chips
¼ chopped almonds
2 ½ teaspoons BoCa Flavor’s Taíno Spice (or more if preferred)
¾ cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup all-purpose flour
⅓ cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
¼ teaspoon sea salt
¼ teaspoon baking powder
½ cup dark chocolate chips
¼ chopped almonds
2 ½ teaspoons BoCa Flavor’s Taíno Spice (or more if preferred)
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and lightly flour an 8-inch square pan.
- In a large stainless steel mixing bowl, toss together the cocoa, flour, salt, baking powder and Taíno Spice. Set aside.
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Do not let boil. Remove from heat and let cool for 5-10 minutes, then whisk in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla into the saucepan.
- Pour wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients and mix with a whisk or electric mixer until smooth. Spread batter into prepared pan.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Do not overcook.
- Remove from oven and let rest for at least 5 minutes before you serve and enjoy.
